Position overview

We are actively recruiting scouts for home games played by the University football team. This position is NOT affiliated with the University football team, so please do not contact them regarding this posting.

You will be scouting college football games from the stadium, using Sports Info Solutions’ proprietary software. Scheduling is flexible based on when you are available and when the games are being played. SIS provides a ticket to the game and will reimburse parking fees.

SIS is looking for motivated candidates looking to build a career in the sports world. This position will be primarily part-time, with a pay-per-game structure, and can lead to a larger role with SIS in the future. 

-  Contract dates: 08/12/2024 - 01/20/2025

Compensation:

  • Base rate of $100 per game
  • Base rate for returning scouts will be $110 per game
    • A returning scout is anyone who scored at least 3 games during the previous season
  • Rate increase of $10 per game scouted
    • Example: 6 games will result in $750 (for 1st year scouts)
  • Incentives also achievable for: 
    • Recruiting
    • Accuracy
    • Providing extra coverage
    • Inclement weather
    • Holiday games
    • Extended travel
    • Auditing games

Qualifications

  • Reliability, punctuality, and willingness to communicate
  • Ability to understand and identify football concepts
  • Access to and ability to operate a smartphone
  • Transportation to the stadium
  • Capable of quickly and accurately identifying information for the duration of a football game
